Autumn Ahoy!

I have been MIA for the past month. Life has once again got in the way of blogging, but I am fine with that some things are more important like jobs, weddings, family and friends.

There have been copious blogs about autumn since the beginning of September so I guess I am kind of late to the party. I wanted to hang on to the summer as long as possible though as it seems to get shorter and shorter each year! Up until last night I had not worn a jacket which is pretty good going.
However I do like autumn and its crispness, stunning colours and hot drinks. The rain can stay away though. So as its a new season time for some new goals and making the most of life before the chaos of Christmas.
1. Read books. I used to read all the time but now spend way too much time on the internet and playing silly games on my tablet. After seeing the trailer for the film I had to purchase ‘Girl on a Train’. Its been out for ages and I don’t like hopping on the best seller bandwagon but I am loving it. I have tried not to devour it in one sitting so I read most of it on the way back from my sisters. I got to a particular plot twist in the book and then I got to Paddington and had to get off the train, I was so hooked I had to get the book out as soon as I got on the tube to finish the chapter. I love it so far anyway. I digress, I am going to read more books make the most of my days off curled up with a steaming mug of tea or have an early night and devour a few chapters.
2. Watch films. Going to the cinema has got so expensive lately so I don’t go as much as I used to even though I now have a job. I have a few DVDS in my collection that I still haven’t watched, and some I want to rewatch. I also have a work perk of seeing films for a fiver which is cheaper than the local multiplex so I am going to take advantage of that. On my list is the aforementioned Girl on a train, also Inferno, new Jack Reacher film, Fantastic Beasts and Where to find them….lots of good stuff coming out. I saw the new Bridget Jones film which I thought was brilliant so thats a good start.
3. Work hard and make the most of my opportunities. I have made the mistake in the past of letting things slip through my fingers due to lack of confidence, my PAD or through fear of not being good enough. But life’s too short and I have got to just grab it all with both hands.
4. Blog. I love writing my blog but I am not making a career out of it and at the moment that is fine with me I don’t have the time to dedicate daily time to it. I have been gifted things and asked to write sponsored posts which is cool so hopefully that will continue but as long as I carry on enjoy writing stuff I will continue to do so. When it becomes a chore then I will stop.
5. Health and happiness. Both physically and mentally being healthy is important and over the past few months I have been trying to swim once a week and eat healthily. Good for losing a few pounds and exercise is good for the mind as well as fitness. Its harder to make the effort once winter hits as its cold out or raining but now I am in a routine hopefully I will be able to stick with it.
That’s all for now I have a couple of posts coming in the next week so keep your eyes peeled.
Happy Autumn everyone 🙂
