Tag: The Reading Tag

I saw The Reading Tag on Lazy Days Beauty blog and it was a post I  thought might be quite fun to do and something different.

Do you have a certain place for reading at home?
At the moment either in my bedroom curled up in bed, or out in the garden if the weather is sunny. Hopefully when I get my new place I will get a nice chair or something to read in.
Bookmark or random piece of paper?
Both. I have a couple of cute bookmarks with a photo of my nephew on it which were presents, but sometimes I use a letter if I can’t find them.
Can you just stop reading or do you have to stop after a chapter or a certain number of pages?
I like to stop at the end of a chapter but it all depends on the situation. If I am on the train for example I have to stop when I need to get off. And if I read before bed then when I get sleepy I will just stop wherever it might be.
Do you eat or drink when reading?
Maybe a drink but I like to concentrate and page turning can be a problem if you have something else to hold!
Do you watch TV or listen to music when reading?
Not usually no its distracting.
One book at a time or several at once?
I can have a couple on the go but no more than that as otherwise I will forget about them.
Reading at home or everywhere?
Anywhere and everywhere.
Reading out loud or silently in your head?
Oddly I have read out loud in the past and it was usually to practice an accent but only if I was alone. I don’t do it now, silently does it!
Do you ever read ahead or skip pages?
No way! What would be the point in that?!
Breaking the spine or keeping it new?
I would love to have unbroken spines, it is the neat freak in me but it hardly ever happens. My Lord of Rings trilogy is creased as anything but I had that when I went travelling so it is well worn and brings  back happy memories!
Do you write in your books?
Nope never.

 What are you currently reading?

I got a cope of Lucy Diamonds ‘Hens Reunited’ given to me as a free gift when I ordered some stuff from Very recently. I devoured it in one sitting today chilling in the garden. I really related to it as the age of the girls are similar to me and the weddings and life decisions are something which is happening all around me so I really enjoyed it and it has made me want to pick up another of the authors books if I see one.

Let me know if you do this tag would love to read others thoughts about books and reading.
Will post soon!
